A Donegal woman who died while on holiday on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand has been named as Louise Furey from Glenties.
The 27-year-old worked in children’s services in Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
She had arrived on the island last Wednesday for a holiday with her boyfriend.
It is understood she died after falling from a balcony on Friday night.
Local people in Glenties have expressed deep sadness at the tragedy.
The Glenties Community Development group said the town is numb with shock and extended sympathy to her family and friends.
Louise was the youngest of five children and was a regular visitor home to the town.
